baum spirit of entrepreneurship summit - presented by marcus corporation
Join Marcus Corporation and Marquette University College of Business Administration for the Baum Spirit of Entrepreneurship Summit on Wednesday, November 18. The event will bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, students, and faculty for an afternoon of bold ideas, candid conversations, and emerging business concepts designed to help shape the region's economic future. Sponsored by Marcus Corporation, this symposium celebrates the legacy of late board member David Baum whose passion for entrepreneurship and innovation inspired individuals and organizations throughout his life.
The Summit will feature keynote speaker Bill Aulet, Ethernet Inventors Professor of the Practice of Entrepreneurship and Managing Director of the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship. The event will also feature a panel of Wisconsin corporate innovation and entrepreneurship leaders led by Marquette's College of Business Administration, Dean Andrew DeGuire. Between events, Marcus Corporation will host a networking reception with an opportunity to meet early-stage founders from eastern Wisconsin completing the Fall cohort of the MKE Tech Hub Coalition’s FOR-M program. The event will conclude with the 3rd Annual Marquette Invitational Pitch Competition, showcasing 10 student founders from colleges and universities across eastern Wisconsin.
This event is designed for members of the business community, startup ecosystem leaders, university students, faculty, and community stakeholders interested in innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth.
The Summit is a complimentary event open to the greater Milwaukee and eastern Wisconsin community. Guests are welcome to register for the full event or for the portions of the program they are able to attend.
